Fun gift idea

I gave this to a Japanese friend who is hardcore about her tea drinking. She was skeptical about how functional something so cute would turn out to be. "They are either cute or work well - you can't have everything," she told me. She loved the design of the leaf handle that allowed for cool handling and was greatly impressed with the forethought that went into providing a matching little saucer so as not to make a mess on her counter. And the fact that it was easy to both use and reuse were huge pluses. Her only downside was the holes were big enough to allow for a little release of tea leaves. If you've got a tea lover on your gift list this is definitely a fun and practical choice.

Good design

I liked this tea infuser's design as it was a nice departure from the traditional all metal design which tends to get very hot. This silicone model was much more user friendly. I liked the little green tray that came with the infuser so you actually had somewhere to place your infuser when you were finished instead of on a messy napkin or jammed on a saucer. My only complaint was that some of the smaller tea leaves seemed to find their way out through the holes. This product is best used with bigger leaf teas.

Overall fairly snazzy...

On the plus side is the unusual color of the handle & tray--sea green, I'd say. I thought the design of the infuser was unique and turned out to be quite a conversation piece too. It looks very nice and decorative so you can leave it out and it doesn't look out of place. On the minus side--the holes were a little bit on the large side so (if the manufacturer is reading this) I would like to see this come with an adjustable tea strainer thing so it could be used no matter what the tea leaf size is.

super cute but silicone is kind of smelly?

I think this tea infuser is just the cutest thing ever! I love the leaf at the top and, since mine came in green, it looks super cute and very tea like. One thing that concerned me was the smell of the silicone.. It is very smelly, and I might just be imagining it but it's kind of like you can taste it in the tea sometimes. The drip tray is a really nice addition to the product, though some of the silicone edges aren't cleanly cut. This product is really cute and definitely something I would leave out on display in the kitchen. Additionally, if you prefer bagged tea, a lot of tea bags will fit inside the infuser. I received this product free of charge as a part of the Salon Guys Market Research program in exchange for an unbiased review.

Terrific Infuser

As a serious tea-drinker, I have tried out my fair share of tea accessories, and this one is great. I use loose leaf teas, and this infuser holds enough for either a single cup or a very small pot. I didn't have a problem with the tea spilling out, although for very fine leafed varieties, some will come out of the holes if you agitate the infuser. That wasn't really a problem for me, though, and this infuser got plenty of use with several tea varieties over the space of a few days with consistently good results. The little tray that comes with it works well to rest the infuser on and catch drips after brewing. All pieces are easy to clean and well made. This is definitely a great product, and the design is as adorable as it is functional!
